And ever and ever and ever. Why can't I just be normal and update this thing? Bleh. Because I'm the laziest person I know.
So, the same-old same-old is going on. Nothing much to tell you. I'm brainstorming my next few moves on "Slave," though its not really getting anywhere fast. I hope I can write something tonight. Actually, I might be able to. Because I miss Corin and Kayden.
In any case, I'll update again next week. A real post, I promise!
Updates
[1/1] Happy New Year
It's a new year, and I have new goals. Thus, a new post is born.
[11/5] Here
I just reorganized the "currently" field and am super exhausted. Tons of new and no time or energy to tell it. In any case: No, I have not been working on Win a Week. Yes, I began writing again. No, don't expect an upload soon. Yes, I'll keep you updated. Night, guys.
[9/24] FF.net
I have a feeling I should be hiding in a ditch or under my bed right now, because I know that, at this moment, my life is in danger. I cannot believe, just like you guys probably can't, that it's taken me this long to log in to FFnet and even longer to update. I'm an idiot and a cold-hearted bitch for saying this... [Read More]

A new camera has caught my eye, and this beauty is reasonable. It's been out for over a year, but I guess I've been focusing on Canon and other companies, so I wouldn't really notice the Nikon D3.12.1 Megapixels, 11 frames-per-second, baby. It's also got a brand new, freaking fantastic auto-focus system. 920,000 pixel 3 in LCD screen, and "killer ergonomics" to top it off.

Spread the Magic
So, basically, there's a giveaway about to start from HP and Microsoft called the HP Magic Giveaway. Basically, they sent $6,000 in merchandise to 50 bloggers, who are going to somehow choose 50 contestants who will receive the prizes. Included is a Touchsmart, a Pavillion, a Mini, and even more.My point is: I want to be a winner, badly.
Yes, I know the chances are slim to none and I could probably win the lottery before I could win this. (Though, winning the lottery wouldn't be too painful either.) But what I mean is, I really, really, really want the shiny new computers. Like, seriously. They're gorgeous. And shiny. And new. And technologic.
And if I were to win, I might forgive the internet world for the SocialThing! incident... XD

Drumroll, please...
It's official as of today: My piece made the paper.
Recently for my journalism course I had to write a feature story on something going on at our school, so I wrote about the new Teen CERT organization that came this year. And yes, my piece was chosen to be in the school paper.
It may not seem like a big deal to some people, but it is an enormous accomplishment for me. I realized today that this will be the first time any of my writing has gotten published, even if it's just a school publication. It's enthralling.
And to solve my dilemma of whether to join newspaper or yearbook, I've decided to be on the newspaper staff next year and then on the yearbook staff the next year. It kind of sucks though, because I won't have any experience in broadcast journalism, which I really wanted to learn some behind the scenes work and learn more about FinalCut and VegasMovieStudio. Meh, what can you do?
In any case I'm thrilled but also exhausted, so basically, this is it, everyone.
Goodnight, my lovelies!

When Disaster Strikes
So, there's four posts that I've been meaning to write for a while now. One for the election (Yes, I'm a little behind), an opinion political piece, one about what's happening with Win a Week, and one about my story Slave, which I've been making progress. Today, I was going to log on and post ALL of these, but then I noticed something that halted everything.
Last week I wrote the first four chapters of Slave. Today, I turned on my computer, logged in, and come to find it's no where in sight. What do I mean by this? The first twenty pages have been deleted.
Yes, deleted. All my hard work, the utter clarity that I'd accomplished with my characters--they're all gone. Completely erased from both my hard drive and backup drive. I have no clue how I let this happen. I'm so completely depressed. I don't even think I printed the draft, so it's completely gone. Forever.
I've lost the will to write about Obama winning or Abortions or about how Win a Week is being redrafted.
I give up for today.

Some Answering Machine Messages
- Hi! John's answering machine is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I'll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets.
- Answering Machine Saying: This is not an answering machine this is a telepathic thought-recording device. After the tone, think about your name, your reason for calling, and a number where I can reach you, and I'll think about returning your call.
- Hello. You are talking to a machine. I am capable of receiving messages. My owners do not need siding, windows, or a hot tub, and their carpets are clean. They give to charity through the office and don't need their picture taken. If you're still with me, leave your name and number and they will get back to you.
